Anthurium is a large genus of around 1,000 species of tropical epiphytic plants native to the Americas and belonging to the arum family, Araceae. Commonly known as flamingo flowers, laceleaf, or tailflowers, they are highly prized as houseplants both for their vibrant, long-lasting blooms and their striking, velvety structural foliage.
