The Apostle Iris (Neomarica spp.), often called the walking iris, is a tropical, clumping perennial known for its sword-like leaves and fragrant, orchid-like blue, white, or yellow flowers. Growing 2–5 feet tall, these plants are popular for landscaping, particularly in shaded or moist areas. They thrive in zones 9-11.
