The Snake Plant (Dracaena trifasciata), often called Mother-in-Law’s Tongue, is an extremely hardy, low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and air-purifying succulent with stiff, sword-shaped leaves. It thrives in indirect, moderate light to bright, indirect light, and requires watering only when the soil is completely dry. These plants, native to West Africa, are ideal for beginners and can grow from 1 to 4 feet tall indoors.
