Atlantic St. John's Wort (Hypericum tenuifolium) is a native, mat-forming evergreen shrub, 4–20 inches tall, found in the Southeastern U.S. (NC to FL, west to AL). It thrives in dry, sandy, open areas, including pine flatwoods, scrub, and sandhills. Known for bright yellow, summer-blooming flowers, it attracts many native pollinators and is drought-tolerant.
