Florida Paintbrush (Carphephorus corymbosus), also known as coastalplain chaffhead, is a native perennial wildflower in the Asteraceae family found in Florida and the Southeast. It typically blooms with flat-topped clusters of pink-lavender flowers from late summer to fall, thriving in full sun, well-drained sandy soils, and habitats like sandhills and flatwoods. These 2-4 ft tall plants are excellent for attracting butterflies and pollinators.
