The Duncan grapefruit tree is a vigorous, large heirloom variety known as the oldest grapefruit cultivar in Florida (c. 1830s), prized for its superior, sweet-tart flavor, and high cold resistance. It produces large, seedy, white-fleshed fruit from November to May. Ideal for USDA zones 9–11, it matures at 12–20+ feet but can be grown as a container plant.
