The Ponkan mandarin (Citrus reticulata), often called the "Chinese Honey Orange," is a highly popular, cold-hardy citrus tree (Zones 8-11) known for producing large, sweet, easy-to-peel fruits. The tree is upright, vigorous, and evergreen, typically growing to 12-15 feet (semi-dwarf) or 8-10 feet (dwarf). It is self-pollinating and harvests from November to January.
