Wild Petunia (Ruellia humilis), or Fringeleaf/Hairy Wild Petunia, is a hardy, low-growing (1–2 ft) native perennial found in dry to mesic prairies, fields, and open woodlands across the Central and Eastern US. It features lavender-purple, trumpet-shaped flowers blooming June–August that attract pollinators and support caterpillars of the Common Buckeye butterfly.
